Beaches on Castaway Cay
Castaway Cay features two main beach areas, one being the family beach, the other is called Serenity Bay, and is reserved exclusively for guests 18 and older. The beaches on Castaway Cay are kept very clean, stocked with an plethora of beach chairs, and a few hammocks (should you be lucky enough to find one available). There are inner tubes and snorkel gear for rent near the family beach, the snorkel route that is suggested is very nice.Activities on Castaway Cay
There are a great number of choices for activities if beach going is not your thing. There are bicycles available for rent that can be peddled around the island on a scenic path that goes around various areas of the island, there is a lookout tower where you can see the whole island at one point on the bike path. There are several gazebos around the island where guests can partake in various games. The great youth programming that Disney provides also extends from the ship to the island; there is a secluded beach area where teens can hang out, away from the hustle and bustle of everything. The younger kids also have an area all to themselves, called Scuttle's Cove, which is staffed with youth counselors from the ship. If families want to spend a relaxing beach day together in their own private space, they should check out renting a beach cabana for the day, which comes with several amenities and is sure to make the day one to remember!
Dining on Castaway Cay
Food, beverages, and soft serve ice cream are all included with your Castaway Cay experience. The crew sets up a very nice barbecue buffet that includes options such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish, and fresh fruit - to give you a sense of the options. Drinks, such as soft drinks, iced tea, and water are included, of course alcoholic and specialty beverages are not included. Soft serve ice cream is also included, which is a nice option on a warm beach day. Thanks for reading along! I hope someone is now inspired to make the most of the Castaway Cay visit!
