Photo Collection: Copenhagen, Denmark

Hi there! It's Gabe again, and I'm back with a photo collection from Copenhagen, Denmark! Copenhagen is probably my favorite city in the entire world, it just has some sort of feel that makes it distinct from other worldly cities. Copenhagen is known for having some of the most amazing historical sites, including museums and castles. All the photos in this collection are courtesy of me, hope you enjoy!

The grouping of pictures just above features several photos from around the city, the first one on the top left is of the Marble Church, which is a church located right near the royal palace. The picture just to the right of that is taken looking out into the city from the top of the Rundetaarn, which is called the Round Tower in English, those who venture to this tower can walk up a spiral ramp to the top, there are no stairs, just a long ramp. The picture just below is from the main entrance to Tivoli Gardens, this arch is one of the most famous landmarks in all of Copenhagen.

This grouping of photos starts off with a photo of the Nyhavn, which is the old harbor of Copenhagen. Today the Nyhavn is another popular landmark in Copenhagen, and today features several restaurants with seating along the canal. To the right of that is Kronborg slot, which is just a short train ride outside of Copenhagen; Kronborg is extra special because it served as inspiration for Shakespeare's Hamlet, just below that is a picture of the Copenhagen Opera House!

This next grouping of photos starts of with a picture of the Danish crown jewels which can be found at Rosenborg Slot (slot is castle in Danish). The next picture, just to the right, is also of Rosenborg slot, this one is of the castle itself with the vast lawn and garden space nearby. Rosenborg is no longer inhabited but rather open to the public to walk the halls of and view Danish royal objects. The photo just below of that is of Amalienborg slot, which is where today's Danish royals live. Amalienborg also has a museum dedicated to the Danish royal family, which is well worth the time, if you are interested in royals, castles, and the like.

The picture above I find to be really interesting, as it shows a sort of overview of Copenhagen, complete with all the most famous landmarks of Copenhagen!

I hope you all enjoyed our look at Copenhagen!
