Resort Review: Disney's Saratoga Springs

Hello again! This week I have a resort review focusing on Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa!

Resort Overview

Saratoga Springs, one of Disney World's largest and most popular Disney Vacation Club resorts, is located across the lake from Disney Springs. This resort features a 1800s upstate New York theme, the theme is portrayed nicely throughout the resort, including the common areas and the guest rooms.

Guest Rooms

Anyone who is fairly familiar with Disney Vacation Club will be pleased to know that Saratoga Springs features the whole line of standard room layouts. From comfortable studios, to one-bedrooms, and two-bedroom villas, the resort also contains the extra-magical Treehouse Villas, a review of which may or may not be forthcoming.😉 The guest rooms are all appointed nicely, with plush sofas, chairs, and beds. The one-, two-bedroom villas, and the Treehouse villas feature full kitchens complete with refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, full-sink, a variety of cutlery, serving utensils, and dishware. The studio villas feature a kitchenette which comes with a toaster, microwave, a mini-fridge, and some dishware. The guest rooms are split between various buildings in several named regions of the resort - these regions are called The Springs, The Paddock, The Carousel, Congress Park, The Grandstand, and the Treehouse Villas have their own area.

Resort Transportation

As with all Disney Resorts, Saratoga Springs features Disney's Magical Express airport service, as well as Disney Cruise Line shuttles to Port Canaveral. Transportation to the four parks is via bus only. Transportation to Disney Springs includes watercraft service, which departs from the dock near the Carriage House, as well as a walking path over near Congress Park.

Resort Amenities

Since Saratoga Springs is such a large resort, it features five different pool areas - one near the Carriage House and the Springs, one at the Grandstand, one at the Paddock, one at Congress Park, and one by the Treehouse Villas. In terms of dining, Saratoga Springs features several options to fit all your needs, this includes poolside snack stands, traditional quick service dining, and a table service restaurant. I personally have experienced Artist's Palate, which is the quick service location at the Carriage House, it features a nice menu that is constantly changing, I have been there several times and the offerings have been slightly different every time. Saratoga Springs includes the usual Disney Vacation Club offering in terms of amenities and activities, including nightly campfires, outdoor family movies, the community hall, arcade, playground, and sports courts. What makes Saratoga Springs unique is that it features the Lake Buena Vista golf course, which is a popular county club-style course among the Disney Springs resort area. Saratoga Springs also features a Senses Spa, which is a full service spa and is the brand featured at other Disney properties and Disney Cruise Line.

Thanks for reading! As always, leave a comment below if you have stayed at Saratoga Springs, or if you are now planning to! If you would like to check out some more in-depth information about the Saratoga Springs Treehouse Villas, check out this post.
