New Year, New Disney!
Hello again! Gabe here, and I wanted to start 2019 off right, and what better way to do that than looking forward to what will be coming our way this year from the World of Disney, mostly travel related items, of course!

New European destinations!
This year Disney Cruise Line is once again embarking on their uber-popular European summer program, which as always involves stops at some really fascinating ports of call, and in 2019, DCL will be charting courses to all new ports of call that are pretty exciting! Let's start off with the Mediterranean itineraries, Disney Cruise Line will venture to Toulon, France, where guests can venture off to Provence, to experience the diverse landscapes that made it famous! Later in the summer, Disney will sail to two all new Swedish ports of call, with Gothenburg and Nyanshamn on the roster. Gothenburg is located on Sweden's southwest shores, near to Norway and Denmark, and is known for its Dutch style canals. Nyanshamn is a port located on Sweden's Baltic Sea coast, and is a popular stop for larger ships with passengers visiting Stockholm for the day, which is an absolutely fantastic city! You can read more about Stockholm here. Another first for Disney Cruise Line, comes on a fabulous British Isles itinerary in September, and that is Belfast in Northern Ireland! Belfast is a city that is well known for being the construction site of the Titanic which famously sank on its maiden voyage, today Belfast has a much renown museum dedicated to the Titanic. Cruisers are sure to enjoy a fantastic time in Belfast, and all of the European ports of call that are new in the summer of 2019!
More Star Wars!
While you may have noticed some Star Wars tie ins become more and more prevalent in the parks in recent years, it is about to get a whole exciting! Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is slated to open at both Disneyland Park in California, and Disney's Hollywood Studios in Florida! If the lands are anything like the concept art, we are surely in for a real treat, as the designs and attention to detail looks fabulous! There is one caveat though, those of us on the East coast will have to wait just a few months more than those on the west coast, as the Disneyland version is expected to open in Summer 2019, while the Disney World version will open in late fall 2019.
Disney Skyliner!
The Disney Skyliner is also expected to open at Walt Disney World in Fall 2019; this magic transport will move guests between the Epcot/Hollywood Studios parks and resort areas in individual gondolas. The Skyliner will connect Pop Century Resort, Art of Animation Resort, Caribbean Beach Resort, and the new Riviera resort to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios! This is a very exciting development coming to resort transportation at Walt Disney World, and is going to be a very fun way to skip the bus rides, slow boat rides (because let's face it, the Friendship boats between Hollywood Studios and Epcot are very slow), or a long walk after a whole day in the park. I know I will be eager to ride the Skyliner a number of times after it opens!
Of course, this is just a tasting of some of the most exciting things coming to the World of Disney in 2019, so break out the 2019 t-shirts and enjoy what the year has in store! As always, leave a comment below regarding what you are most looking forward to in 2019 for the World of Disney!
