Restaurant Review: Tony's Town Square
Restaurant Review: Tony’s Town Square
Hello again, it’s Gabe,
and I am back this week with a restaurant review of Tony’s Town Square
Restaurant located in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.
Restaurant Overview
Tony’s is located in the
Main Street USA are of the Magic Kingdom, right by the park entrance area. The
check in for Tony’s is located in a large parlor area, which is the same room
that you will find the character meet and greet entrance. Tony’s is a perfect
restaurant for a more relaxed dining experience while spending time at the
Magic Kingdom!
Restaurant Ambience
The dining area is made
up of a couple different areas, there is an outside patio area that is right on
main street and would be really magical during a parade, there is also a
sunroom type area (where I was seated) that is made up of mostly glass windows
where you can see right out to Main Street, and there is also a more
traditional dining room style area that feels very classy and sticks with the
Main Street theme. Tony’s itself is themed to be the restaurant featured in
Lady & the Tramp, where the two dogs share a plate of spaghetti and
meatballs, this theming is evident in both the menu and certain décor pieces,
just outside the restaurant entrance there are some little paw prints on the
steps, so make sure to spot those!
Food
The Tony's menu |
Pizza from Tony's |
Tony’s offers a very nice Italian menu, complete with the classic Spaghetti & Meatballs, to more interesting dished including unique pasta dishes, such as gnocchi, and pizzas. I visited on Thanksgiving Day, so Tony’s was also serving up a traditional turkey dinner complete with all the sides, so I would assume they do something special for other holidays. All of the menu items sounded very pleasant, all the dished I saw pass by looked very nice, and everything I sampled was very tasty, so I do not think you could really go wrong with ordering any dish here. I personally ordered a pizza, I ordered it to come with pepperoni and sausage, however one could also go for garden vegetables or just cheese; the pizza was served with the usual parmesan and red pepper flakes on the side. I thought the pizza was very nice and definitely a step up from what one would be served at a Disney quick service location (not that I mind going for a bit of nostalgia every once and a while ordering those pizzas).
